What is the best way to stop an anxiety attack?

I withdraw from groups , or from the source of anxiety and I close my eye's and remember some happy memory. (I usually recall some detailed nature exsperince as a child , I focus on recalling every detail of a fern , a rock , my gradmothers house. )

Breath into a paper bag. If you dont have one handy ..tuck your face into your shirt and breath slowly.

take a deep breath -blow it out slow just keep doing this till it passes - this is what I do some times it takes a while but it helps me
