Can I stop my anxiety by not worrying about it?
Posted by admin on Apr 3, 2009
I honestly think that I can stop my anxiety by not obsessing over it. I think that when I go to websites and try to look for cures it only makes it worse. Trying to find a way to beat it makes it worse. If I just let it go, will it stop? And how would I go about doing this? Medication is shit, by the way. It doesn't solve anything, it just helps with some symptoms.
well I think it just depends on how bad your anxiety is, I have been diagnosed with a anxiety disorder since I was about 17 and I could never do it without my medication I have taken ativan 2mg tid which means 3 times a day and I've been on that for what 20 yrs now and it is something I feel like I have to take , if I had diabetes or high blood pressure I would take medicine for that, I was so bad that when they came on I would be paralyzed with fear just ruining my life I couldn't live and I just had terrible panic attacks so I take my medication as prescribed I don't misuse it but I've tried to go off and it just didn't work so I don't think it's so terrible taking medication now there are doctors who do love to over medicate and I think going to therapy and doing other things with the medication is why it's helped me so much a pill all by itself isn't the best answer, it would be the same as if I had bad cholesterol took a pill but didn't change my diet ya know? So you have to do what's right for you, only you can make that decision, but pills aren't terrible things when used correctly, they saved my life actually, so good luck and you can talk to me anytime you want ok?

OMG. I know exactly how you are feeling. Try some of these things. Just imagine a STOP sign in your head. Picture on the edges, color, how the font of the letters is. Set it as your late new years resolution. EXERCISING is the#1 way. Try yoga. LAUGHTER. Be with friends. Force your self to do things that you are nervous about. Yeah, medication is &*^#^%*^(%^*&^(#&$. All the doctors want to do is stab you with needles and force you to swallow all these "pills".

What are my options if my bf has an anxiety attack? He hasn’t had issues since I met him (6 months now), in the past he has suffered a lot due to anxiety, and he still takes medicine for that. going through a lot of life changes nowadays (looking for a home, grad school, etc…) and even though I think he’ll be fine, he warned me in advanced that , or have an anxiety attack. What should I do?
